Women’s Rugby Club Side 7s National Championships – Not Sponsored by USA Rugby, But Still Happening!

On August 15th and 16th 2009 there will be a women’s club side 7s national championships. This event will not be sponsored by USA Rugby, but will be run very much like the D2 nationals have been run the last few years. If this event is a success, there is a chance that USA Rugby will back it in the near future.

The tournament will be hosted by the San Francisco Fog and will be held on Treasure Island in San Fransisco, CA. (The men’s tournament is the same weekend, also on Treasure Island.)

Each territory will be allowed to send 2 teams. If your women’s club team is interested in attending this years tournament- please contact the liaison from your territory and let them know. Some territories are all ready setting up a play off system to select the teams to attend.
