The Women’s Eagles are going to start their preparations for tour when 45 players gather at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs on September 20th. The team will spend 3 days developing the approach to play for the tour, and this will also be the final selection vehicle for the top 28 that will travel.
This team is traveling to play Italy and France without any of the residential 7s players as they prepare for Dubai and the 7s World Cup next year. There will be a couple of other players that may end up in that Dubai squad, which means that the backs we take to Europe will be young, but they also have a great opportunity to develop and show what they can do.
The team leaves for Italy on November 13th and plays Italy on the 18th and France on the 21st and 24th.
