Help Support the Women’s Eagles!

Dear Friends of Rugby

I am writing this blog you today to ask for your help. The USA Women’s Eagles will depart for a tour of Europe in a little over two weeks. This exciting tour includes two tests against France and the USA’s first ever test match against Italy. The final match against France will be played in the Stade de France as part of a double header that will also see the French men take on Samoa. Taking 9 non-capped players makes this tour a critical preparatory step in the Eagle’s journey to the 2014 World Cup.

The cost of the tour is around $100,000 and we have recently been presented with the opportunity to have the Stade de France
match televised in the US on November 27th at 7pm EST on Universal Sports (it will be shown live in France on network television). That additional exposure will also means we will incur additional costs. The team has worked hard to keep expenses down, and have been fundraising all year. However, as the tour nears, we find ourselves needing to raise $25,000 to cover the remaining costs. We do not want to charge the players to represent their country and we do not want to lose the chance to showcase these women playing on television in the United States. That is why we need your help.

Please support your National Team in one of the following ways:

1. Donate – Many of you have already given, but if you haven’t please consider making a tax deductible donation to the program..

2. Sponsorship – We have a number of sponsorship opportunities ranging from $2500-$25,000. You can find options at the USA Women’s Eagles Tour Sponsorship Presentation

3. Share this post potential donors and sponsors you think might be interested in supporting the team

Thank you in advance for your help and please do not hesitate to contact the program if you have any questions.

Cheers,

Pete Steinberg
