USA Rugby continues National Collegiate Rugby Scholar Honor Roll

BOULDER, Colo. – USA Rugby recognizes collegiate rugby student athletes for their excellence in the classroom with the USA Rugby National Collegiate Rugby Scholar Honor Roll. Since 2011, USA Rugby has acknowledged the hard work on and off of the field by collegiate student athletes with the Honor Roll, including the 121 student athletes named to the 2011-12 Honor Roll.

Men’s and women’s college players from all divisions who meet the following criteria will be recognized:

• Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
• Must be a junior, senior or fifth-year senior academically.
• Must be in a second year of competition with their current college team.
• Must be an A-side player.

A coach, team president or club sports director may nominate student athletes for the Honor Roll by submitting a nomination form to USA Rugby with a valid copy of each nominee’s most recent transcript by June 25, 2013.

A copy of the National Collegiate Rugby Scholar nomination form will also be distributed to all USA Rugby college conferences and clubs on April 17.
