WANTED: NEW HEAD COACH FOR WOMEN’S RUGBY CLUB
The University of Colorado at Boulder Women’s Rugby Team is looking for a head coach for the upcoming 2014-2015 seasons. This is a part-time position and will be compensated a minimum of $1000 up to $2500.
Applicants will be interviewed by team representatives, then by CU Club Sports.
Practices are held every Monday and Wednesday 6:00pm-8:00pm, Tuesday and Thursday 6:30-8:00pm. Games are held on weekends from early September to mid/late November. Tournaments are also included in our schedule with the option to host them or travel in both Fall and Spring semesters.
Requirements for applicants include:
- Collegiate coaching or playing experience
- Willing to get USA Rugby coaching certification
- Willing to attain First Aid/CPR certification
- Willing to fulfill online Discrimination and Harassment training
- Available for practices, games, and travel
- Driven to help our club grow to NCAA standards
- Professional on the field
- Understand the boundaries of friend and coach
- Chooses players based on effort and commitment, no favoritism
Applicants are encouraged, but not required to:
- Have coached girls before
- Drive, motivate, and push are players
- Be able and willing to help the players individually
- Be willing to grow with the team
- Recognize that this team is a family and be able to treat us like one; be sensitive
