Roger Williams University has been to the NSCRO Women’s Rugby National Championships three times, but this year was different as they took home the 2014 NSCRO Women’s Rugby National Championship title! They faced off against the experienced Sacred Heart University in a tough semi-final matchup. RWU eventually overcame SHU in a back and forth battle to claim the National Championship title 45-10.
Congratulations to both teams on a great weekend of rugby! And, congratulations goes out to Tournament MVP, 8-man Sadia Crosby of Roger Williams University!
In the 3rd place match, Mount St. Mary’s started quickly taking a 5-0 lead against Minnesota State University Moorhead. But that was it as the Moorhead ladies took control and finished with a 31 to 5 win. Read the full recap of this game here.
