NOVA Women’s Rugby Club searching for D2 coach

Nova LogoNorthern Virginia Women’s Rugby Club (NOVA) based in Vienna, Virginia, seeks a head coach for its competitively focused Division 2 15s team. NOVA wants a coach who is open to a long-term (at least two years) commitment and is willing to invest time in helping the developmental team improve technical skills and knowledge of the game. The D2 coach will work in conjunction with D1 head coach Brian Walker to help players improve all aspects of their game, attend all matches with the D2 team and give players feedback. NOVA prides itself on fostering a positive and inclusive team culture, strong work-ethic and player development – we want a D2 coach who values the same things!

Compensation includes a $500 stipend per season and the knowledge that you’re helping grow the women’s game! We will also pay for pre-approved coaching development classes through USA Rugby. NOVA practices every Tuesday and Thursday from the beginning of September through the beginning of November in the fall, and the beginning of March through the beginning of May in the spring. Games are generally Saturday afternoons during the fall and spring season.

Interested candidates can contact NOVA President Katie “Sully” Sullivan via email at katiemaureensullivan@gmail.com or by phone at 814-602-7986.
