DC Furies Coaches Wanted

The DC Furies are seeking to fill two coaching positions, including one general coaching position and at least one backs-specific coaching position. The ideal candidates will have rugby 15’s or 7’s experience, coaching experience, and be organized and motivated. The Furies are looking for candidates with positive attitudes, the ability to coach players at varying ability levels, planning and delegation skills, and the ability to collaborate with team leadership and the rest of the coaching staff.

The Furies field a competitive Women’s Premier League (WPL) side as well as a Division II side. Coaches are responsible for communicating and executing the game plan, working with the selection committee and the rest of the coaching staff, developing players, and helping to foster team spirit and culture.

Practices are twice a week in DC. Division II games generally on Saturdays in the Mid-Atlantic region and WPL games occur on Saturdays or Sundays throughout the Eastern half of the United States. The team is committed to attracting top coaching talent and does many fundraiser activities to support the team’s expenses, some of which include coaching costs.
