WANTED: Women’s Club Rugby Coach at College of Saint Benedict

The Department of Campus Recreation at the College of Saint Benedict invites applications for the part-time, temporary position of Women’s Club Rugby Coach. This appointment is for fall and spring seasons.

Responsibilities:
Support the mission of our Catholic, Benedictine, Liberal Arts, Residential College for women.
Serve as a resource to students for appropriate support venues as needed (Counseling, Health Center, Academic Advising, etc.)
Assure that the team adheres to all college policies and procedures set forth for club teams by the Student Activities office and the College of Saint Benedict.
Register with USA Rugby and fulfill Coaching Requirements to keep team in compliance. Visit http://usarugby.org/coach-reqs/overview for Coach Requirements.
Complete the 200 level coach certification per compliance with USA Rugby, willingness to consider 300 level certification.
Remain informed and compliant with changes and requirements set forth by the MN Rugby Football Union.
Manage the execution of practices and team competitions.
Assist with recruiting efforts for prospective rugby players.
Attend team practices.
Attend all competitions. Traveling will be required.
Represent the team as needed on behalf of the college administration.
Work closely with club sport officers and commissioner regarding:
Team conduct issues.
Team fundraising efforts.
Team budget.
Team travel arrangements.
Team uniforms, equipment, etc.
Team web page.
Facility space needs for practices and competitions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
One year college level coaching experience preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Supervisory experience preferred
CPR/AED/First Aid Certified
