Job Title: Women’s Programme Co-ordinator
Salary: Band 4 (circa £26,500)
Location: WRU Centre of Excellence, Hensol
Hours of work: 35 hours per week
Responsible to: National Women’s Rugby Manager
Contractual Status:
- Permanent, Full Time
- Subject to 6 month probationary period
Role Summary
To be responsible for the coherent running of all activities supporting the Women’s
squad. This will include:
- player welfare and discipline
- work with the management team to ensure a high performance culture and environment exists and is embedded
- squad travel and all logistics
- squad kit
- squad communication and records
- Communications with WRU Communications team and other media links
- Match and competition reports

Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities
- To provide managerial leadership for the squad
- All General administration duties to ensure all squads are high performing and organised
- Coordinate all off field duties with competition and training
- Work within the approved budget
- Provide the best communication required to the squad and management in the most effective ways possible
- Support Talent ID opportunities including the Regional programmes
- Work to enhance the culture as agreed and directed by NMWR
- Brief and enforce standards to players on codes of conduct, expectations on and off the pitch
- With the Head Coach produce match reports and end of season reports as required
- Provide regular communications to the WRU Communications team about the women’s programme and ensure profile is maximised
- Manage player appearances and requests from media
- Manage player expenses
- Match days ensure all logistics are covered, liaise with match officials where
- Coordinate squad and management meetings
- Coordinate additional support services e.g WRPA, Sports Chaplaincy
- Create strong relationships with the regional teams and where possible club coaches to support players at all times
- Arrange regional fixtures and all associated logistics required including team announcements, and post-match reports/press releases ensuring consistency and high standards
- Any other duties as directed
- Carry out duties to help support the WRU/PS mission statement in line with the WRU Group values

Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent IT Skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

- Valid UK driving licence is required
