Shame on World Rugby and their gender biased #WorldRugbyAwards

The World Rugby Awards will celebrate excellence in rugby, honouring the world’s greatest players, coaches and true legends of the game.

After seeing the nomination videos that were released on World Rugby’s Twitter account, we need to fix that statement. The World Rugby Awards will celebrate excellence in MEN’S rugby, honouring the world’s greatest male players, male coaches and true male legends of the game. See a trend?

WR should be ashamed that they only have female nominees in 3 out of 9 categories (2 of those categories are for females only). This is ridiculous! Men and women both experienced SENSATIONAL play this year in the Olympics, on the HSBC series and in various test matches. This should be reflected in the awards themselves.
