Following a major review of the Series by the IRB in consultation with relevant stakeholders, eight countries will host a tournament with two cities, Adelaide, Australia and San Diego making their International Sevens debuts.

Last season’s IRB Sevens World Series broke all previous attendance and broadcast records and the 2006-07 series is the most eagerly anticipated to date. The series will kickoff again in Dubai (Dec.1), then travel to George, South Africa (Dec. 8-9), Wellington, New Zealand (Feb. 2-3), San Diego (Feb. 10-11), Hong Kong (March 30-Aprill 1) Adelaide (April 7-8) and London (May 26-27) before the season reaches its climax in an eighth city to be announced.

The 2007 USA Sevens will mark the fourth straight year that the iRB annual tournament will make a United States stop. From 2004-06, the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles Carson, Calif., has served as host and has watched the festival-like Sevens grow from a near 13,000 two-day crowd that first year to a 21,000-plus fans atmosphere in ’06.
