Tempe Women’s Rugby Coach Position
The Tempe Women’s Rugby Club is actively seeking knowledgeable individuals who will be committed to building a competitive program starting Fall 2010. The coaching staff will be responsible for developing and implementing a coordinated coaching program.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and instructing drills for all levels of athletes
- Preparing and running team practices
- Developing overall and subunit team strategies
- Offering constructive feedback to players
- Squad selections
- Attending scheduled games and practices
The Tempe Women’s Rugby Club participates in the Southern California Rugby Union as governed by USA Rugby. They are located in the Phoenix, Arizona metro area and consist of players from all over the country. They pride themselves on their competitive attitude on the pitch as well as their spirited social attitude after the game.
Prior coaching and/or playing experience is required. Prior coaching of women is not necessary but preferred. Coaches must attend a USA Rugby certification camp if not previously certified.
Practices take place in Tempe, AZ. Please note that this position requires considerable travel during the season. Position is on a voluntary basis however some travel expenses will be supplemented.
