Win an entire set of 7s kit for your team!

Re-post from Scrumqueens:

There are just over two weeks left to enter our fantastic competition with Akuma where you can win an entire set of women’s rugby 7s kit! All you have to do is design a shirt using Akuma’s online designer, enter a name and you are in with a shot at winning 10 playing jersys, socks and shorts – all in time for the upcoming summer 7s season!

The competition is a tie-up between Scrumqueens and Akuma – who we are supporting in their plans to develop the first ever women’s rugby playing shirt designed by women’s players for women’s players.

The sports brand is also running a questionnaire asking female players what they want from their kit and there have been some insightful comments so far – including:

As a prop I’d love to have some slippy material on the back of the upper arm area to prevent my opposite prop trying to bind there or pulling my arm down – a bit of extra material or a loose area would be great along the back/shoulder where you do bind so that it’s easier to grip.”

“Thank you SO much for not only looking into women’s shirts but also asking players who’d wear them about the design! I wish this had been done years ago but thank you for listening.”

“While men’s shirts tend to be larger in the shoulders and narrow at the waist, women’s almost need the opposite. A bit more narrow on top, allowing room for bust, with a bit wider on the waist/hips area. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!”
