2011 U20 Nations Cup Final England 48 USA 11

Advantage to ENG for USA high tackle. ENG #12 dummies to suck in USA and then offloads. ENG scores the final try of the match. Conversion no good.

USA penalty for hands it.  ENG taps and goes with no time remaining.

ENG penalty for sealing.  USA #2 taps and sends it wide.  USA #21 Naber catches it on a bounce, turns on the 5th gear and touches it down for USAs first try!  Conversion no good.  USA 11 ENG 41

ENG not coming thru the gate.  USA taps and runs.  ENG steals it in a ruck but USA is gaining ground with their defense.  Forward pass by ENG, USA scrum attacking 30m.

Great line out for USA, #7 around the front but called not straight. 5 minutes to go.

ENG called for in from the side.  USA goes for points. #15 Bizer gets her second PK.  ENG 41 USA 6

USA kicks into ENG territory, ENG #15 answers with a kick to touch.  USA line out at the ENG 35m.  Not straight, ENG elects for a scrum.

USA tries to steal a scrum, but it is wheeled with the ball under them.  ENG takes the next scrum and sends it out the #11 Hughes, but the pass is forward.  Scrum USA on the ENG 40m.  ENG early on the engage, USA penalty.

Feeding by ENG, USA taps and goes at ENGs 22m.  ENG steals the ball in a ruck and kicks to touch.  Line out to USA back from where ENG kicked.

Great kick by USA #15 puts pressure on ENG.  ENG thrown forward gives USA a scrum inside ENG’s 22m.

USA knock on in their own territory gives ENG a scrum 10m out.  ENG gets the ball to #11 Hughes who is able to squeeze it in the corner.  Conversion is no good.  ENG leads with 24 minutes to go 41 to 3.

ENG #11 Hughes taking it around the corner but USA is able to stop them.  Knock by ENG gives USA another 5m scrum.

Early drive by ENG.  Free kick for USA.  They kick to space, ENG is able to field the ball and stopped by USA at their own 30m.

ENG knocking on USA’s door again for another try, but calm, hard defense by USA causes a knock on by ENG.  USA scrum 5m out.

Penalty ENG.  USA taking the from 22m out is good!  #15 Bizer puts USA onthe board USA 3 ENG 36

USA #6 puts the Eagles into ENG territory with a kick off a ruck.  Line out to USA after ENG’s kick went straight to touch.

First score comes from ENG #7 who just hits the white of the line barely. USA tried to get under the ball but referee says try. Conversion is no good. ENG 36 USA 0

2nd half starts with Eng kicking off

A little scuffle between the players results in an ENG penalty. USA kicks to touch and the half is called. USA 0 ENG 31

ENG #9 is taken off due to injury.  We are going to play on with just injury time to go in the 1st half.  ENG 31 USA 0

Just a minute to go USA gets a lineout in England territory off of a ENG penalty.

ENG #9 Davidson finds a gap on the scrum.  She has the speed by does a small chip kick.  Its a race with USA’s #15.  ENG touches the ball down and its a try for Davidson.  #13 Reed takes the conversion and makes.  ENG 31 USA 0

Penalty USA for in from the sides.  England #10 commits the USA defense just enough to open the gap for #12 Large.  Conversion by #13 Reed is good.  ENG 24 USA 0

USA #1 back into the game from the sin bin.  11 minutes remain in the half.  ENG is attacking in USA territory 40m.

Back and forth action between the teams.  England wins takes control and sends ENG #7 Gallagher up the center.  USA #14 dive tackles but #7 gets the try.  Conversion is good ENG 17 USA 0

England #10 up early on the scrum. USA kicks but does not make touch. USA regains the ball after a box kick by Eng #9.

Penalty England #9 on the scrum. USA enters ENG territory

USA trying to sub for the front row player in the bin, taking to long, referee awarded a free kick.  Quick tap by England results in another score.  Conversion is no good.  ENG 10 USA 0

Back to back penalties on USA leads to a yellow card for #1 Carey.  30 minutes into the first half.Another USA penalty. ENG kicks for a line out.

USA penalty for offsides.  ENG lineout in USA territory 30m.

USA kick off does not go 10, ENG elects to scrum center.

England #11 Hughes touches it down in the corner to put England on the board first. Conversion by #13 Reed has to drop kick no good. ENG 5 USA 0

Penalty USA for offsides for the backs. 22m England in USA territory.
