France and England Line Up International Rugby Clashes

from Scrumqueens:

France and England are to play two test games in November as both sides continue to ramp up their international activity.

France have released the dates of their autumn schedule for their top women’s rugby players which includes these two test games plus a trial match at the end of October.

France U20s have also confirmed a fixture with their English counterparts in March of next year.

For England, the two tests in November represent their busiest ever schedule at this time of year, as these games come before a three test series, which they host, against New Zealand later in the month and running into December.

The first French game is due to take place in London on November 2nd with the return leg on November 5th in France. The closeness of the games suggests that perhaps both sides will use a wider squad across the two games or potentially one of these will be an A game, though there has been no confirmation from either side on the nature of the tests.

France were boosted by the news over the summer that they had been awarded the right to host 2014 Women’s Rugby World Cup.
