Santa Monica Rugby Gears Up For USA Rugby National Championships – D2 Club

The Santa Monica Women’s Rugby Team is packing up their kit and headed to Virginia Beach November 11-13th for the USA Rugby National Division II Championships. They will be representing Southern California (SCRFU), matched up against the top 16 teams in Division II rugby from across the country.

This is the third straight year that the women’s team has traveled to the national championships. They will be bringing a rugby team that is a mix of veterans and new arrivals to the Santa Monica club, due to a rash of players leaving sunny Los Angeles rugby for jobs and grad school (the only reasonable reason to leave Santa Monica, really).
