by Meg Lamm:

The halftime score between Keystone and Berkeley was not what anybody was expecting. The game was tied 0-0 at the end of the first half. Throughout the first half of the match, Keystone was given countless opportunities to score, with chances on the try line that they simply could not convert. Michelle Kirk, Stacy Baker, and Rashida Stamps made some breaks through the line, but, without support, were unable to convert their hard work into tries. Overall, Keystone played the better first half by far, and it only seemed a matter of time before a try was scored. The story after halftime, however, was completely different. The biggest enemy on the pitch: fitness.

The whistle blew to begin the second half and Berkeley showed up to the game. All of a sudden, tries were being scored one after another, with the All-Blues dominating the field in both possession, lack of penalties and overall fitness. The ladies of Keystone seemed to have run out of steam in the first few minutes of the second half, which cost them greatly in the end. Because fatigue was high, there were more handling errors and penalties marked against them, which bit them in backside, as Berkeley stormed through with tries, converting on their mistakes. Keystone was unable to touch down any tries in the back of the field. The Berkeley All-Blues ended up defeating Keystone 38-0.
