2012 EMIRATES AIRLINE USA RUGBY WOMEN’S COLLEGIATE ALL-STARS | Infinity Park | Glendale, CO | June 14 & 16, 2012

Welcome to another year of the Collegiate All Star Championships! If you haven’t heard this may be the last year of the National All-Star Series? Upset about that? Vote via Facebook Questions and let USAR know that we want this tournament to continue!

UPDATE 6/8/12 from USAR:
The schedule has been revised due to a late withdrawal of the Northeast side. All teams should have received an e-mail earlier asking about putting together a side to replace the Northeast, but it’s been determined that teams don’t have the spare numbers to accomplish that safely and competitively.

PLEASE NOTE that the revised schedule gives 4 different teams the possibility of playing on Friday instead of on Saturday. This is necessary because the Mid-Atlantic won’t be at full strength on Saturday, having booked their travel arrangements around the original schedule. As such, the Mid-Atlantic must continue to play Thursday/Friday. In asking people about a few different scenarios for how to work around this with the remaining teams as seeded, the attached schedule was agreed upon as the best option in light of the Northeast’s forfeiture.

If you win on Thursday you absolutely won’t have to play on Friday – that’s the pretty simple part. However, here’s a team-by-team explanation of scenarios for potential schedules since this could be confusing for some:

Midwest
Game 1: Will play Thursday at 11:00 AM (1 v 4)
Game 2: Plays Saturday at 4:00 PM if they win on Thursday; Plays Friday at 1:00 PM if they lose and the Mid-Atlantic defeats the Pacific Coast; Plays Saturday at 1:00 PM if they lose and the Pacific Coast defeats the Mid-Atlantic

USA U20s
Game 1: Will play Thursday at 1:00 PM (2 v 3)
Game 2: Plays Saturday at 4:00 PM if they win on Thursday; Plays Friday at 1:00 PM if they lose and the Pacific Coast defeats the Mid-Atlantic; Plays Saturday at 1:00 PM if they lose and the Mid-Atlantic defeats the Pacific Coast

South
Game 1: Will play Thursday at 1:00 PM (2 v 3)
Game 2: Plays Saturday at 4:00 PM if they win on Thursday; Plays Friday at 1:00 PM if they lose and the Pacific Coast defeats the Mid-Atlantic; Plays Saturday at 1:00 PM if they lose and the Mid-Atlantic defeats the Pacific Coast

West
Game 1: Will play Thursday at 11:00 AM (1 v 4)
Game 2: Plays Saturday at 4:00 PM if they win on Thursday; Plays Friday at 1:00 PM if they lose and the Mid-Atlantic defeats the Pacific Coast; Plays Saturday at 1:00 PM if they lose and the Pacific Coast defeats the Mid-Atlantic

Pacific Coast:
Game 1: Will play Thursday at 9:00 AM (5 v 6)
Game 2: Plays Saturday at 1:00 PM

Mid-Atlantic
Game 1: Will play Thursday at 9:00 AM (5 v 6)
Game 2: Plays Friday at 1:00 PM

Note that the 5 v 6 game (Pacific Coast v Mid-Atlantic) is now the early game on Thursday, so you will know the remainder of your schedule at the immediate conclusion of your first match.
