The original powerhouse in Canada West women’s rugby, University of Alberta Pandas, re-staked their claim atop the conference standings with a convincing 38-19 win over the six-time defending Canada West champion Lethbridge Pronghorns.
The Pandas and Pronghorns are the only two teams to win Canada West titles in the sport’s 13-year history. With the win the Panda’s moved into 4th place in the National Ranking from 7th.
The CIS Championship is shaping up to be the battle of the undefeated teams.
