Welcome to another D2 Club season! Just like the D1, the D2 league has been restructured from three regions to eight regions. While USA Rugby has encouraged D2 clubs to step up and be D1 so that teams are not traveling as much this hasn’t really happened. In fact a large amount of former D1 clubs are now participating in D2, we have also seen an influx of D1 and WPL teams enter a D2 team as well. See the standings below to see who is playing who and where. **We are still working on all the teams in each region, if you have any hints, please let us know!
The new competitive structure sees the United States divided into two Leagues. One representing the Western half of the country (American Conference) and the other the Eastern half (National Conference). Within each league there will be four distinct Conferences, with the winners of each Conference advancing to the League Semi Finals, and the two League Champions competing in the National Championship.
Last year at the D2 Championships Pittsburgh defeated Severn River 8-0.
Playoff Seeds
The League Semi-Finals and Finals will be played the weekend of May 17-18, in Pittsburgh and Dallas, and will be seeded in the following manner for the 2014 spring playoffs:
Eastern League: Midwest Conference v Mid-Atlantic Conference & Southern Conference v Atlantic North Conference
Western League: Pacific North Conference v Red River Conference & Pacific South Conference v Frontier Conference
The winners of the two leagues will face each other for the National Championship on the weekend of May 31 in Madison, WI.
From this four-team event, the overall winner advances to a one-game national championship with the overall winner from the same division emerging from the opposite League: American women’s Div I champion v National women’s Div I champion.

Hmm, just got an email from True South and they are saying that Eno River and a few others are in the Carolinas GU? Not sure if that is NCR3 or somewhere else?
NCR2 – can you remove Tampa and add Jacksonville? Jax will be competing this season but not Tampa in FL. Both Orlando and Ft. Miami as well, 3 teams in FL. Thanks.

We try to update on Mondays, but most sites still aren’t updated today. They are accurate as of a few minutes ago…
