WEEK 5: Surfers vs Amazons MATCH REPORT & VIDEO

The Surfers received the first kickoff and were immediately put on their back foot by the Zons tenacious line. A hard fight back and forth across midfield ended with a try scored by lock Sara Bakker. No conversion left the score 5-0. A hard ten minutes of open play followed with the Surfers holding the Zons accountable in the rucks. Lauren Daly converted resulting in a score of 12-51. The Surfers continued to fight hard up field against the indomitable Amazons’ defense, but a crucial interception by Lynelle Kugler left the Zons with the last say in the game.
