2015 USA Rugby College 15s National Championship – May 9

USA Rugby College 15s National ChampionshipThe 2015 USA Rugby College 15s National Championships are May 9 and will take place at Kennesaw State University. In DI, Fall Champion Penn State will face off against the Spring Champion Central Washington. In DII, Fall Champion Notre Dame College will face Spring Champion University Cal Riverside.

One wonders how the Fall teams have been preparing for this Championship and you can rest assured that neither Penn State or Notre Dame College have been sitting on their hands.

Looking back, in April, Penn State attended Penn State 7s (1st place) and Big 10 7s (1st place), in March they played NOVA (won 83-5) in a friendly, hosted a High School Clinic and traveled to France and Spain on a team tour (won all matches).

Notre Dame College had a similar path as they attended the NDC Challenge Cup 7s (1st place), in April along with friendlies against Dayton and Ashland.

On the other hand the Spring teams have been participating in league play for 15s in order to qualify for the Spring Championships. A few of the teams have also been playing some 7s as well.
