WANTED: Assistant Coach for Glendale Raptors Women’s Rugby

Glendale Raptors RugbyThe Director of Rugby for the City of Glendale, CO is pleased to announce a new opening. Assistant Coach for the Glendale Women’s Developmental Rugby Club! Looking for someone who has a sufficient amount of rugby experience and will be available for 2 weekly training sessions, along with traveling to away games, and present at all Saturday home matches. Qualified applicants shall be a registered (200 level or higher) coach with USA Rugby, CPR certified, and willing assist head coach, Mark Bullock, with any assigned tasks.

The women are specifically seeking a driven individual who can teach rugby to a completely new-to-rugby player and have the ability to advance the focus on key skills needed to play at all levels. This person should understand that rugby is an all-inclusive sport where you become a family and all players are to be welcomed as such.  Compensation for this position is provided with a small stipend for the season plus possible travel funds.The City’s resources include the High Altitude Training Center, athletic training staff, recovery facility, field space, standard rugby equipment including scrum sled, and access to coaches with international experience. It is expected that the selected coach utilize resources provided by the City of Glendale to work cohesively with players and the current coaching staff.
