WANTED: Head Coach Wheaton Women’s Rugby

Wheaton Women’s Rugby is looking for a part-time head coach. Such a candidate should have a level 200 coaching certification or a means of obtaining one. The coach is in charge of all roster moves and depth chart decisions and will work closely with the Captains on player development. The coach must be available for 3 practices a week in addition to a weekly game during the season. The Wheaton women’s rugby team is a member of the Colonial Coast Rugby Conference. Schedule flexibility is recommended as we are a club sport.

The Women’s Rugby Coach would be responsible for the growth and development of the club. We are looking for someone who is willing to invest themselves in the development of the team and our goals both on and off the field while working actively with the student leadership to develop these. Team chemistry, player development, and overall rugby knowledge are our priorities when looking for our coach. The job will consist of around 10-15 hours a week during the fall traditional season, which is around 10 weeks and the spring season which is around 8 weeks. The coach will be paid in a stipend in two installments, once in the fall and once in the spring.

The Women’s Rugby coach before hiring must pass all background checks required by Wheaton College.
