Lots of international tests, tournaments and team announcements this week. We’re focusing on the final round of the Super Series, updated World Rugby standings, Pan Am Games rosters and U20 Tri Nations rosters.

    • New Zealand defeated England 28-13 and wins the Super Series title
    • France defeated USA 53-14
  • World Rugby standings are updated with New Zealand holding their #1 spot while Kenya wining the Elgon Cup lifts them to their highest position yet
  • Mexico wins RANs title and qualifies for the Olympic repechage tournament alongside Jamaica
  • Australia beat Japan 34-5 in their first match and 46-3 in their final match
  • Zambia beat Zimbabwe in a close contest, 19-18 in the Victoria Cup
  • England won the European qualifier in Kazan and Great Britain has qualified for Toyko 2020
  • Fiji beat Australia (next generation team) to take gold at the Pacific Games
  • Teams have begun to name their Pan Am Games rosters running from July 25- August 11
  • Teams are also naming rosters for U20 Tri Nations running from July 20-28
  • Ireland has a 13-month plan leading up the Women’s Rugby World Cup Qualifiers in September 2020
    • The IRFU women’s Interprovincial Championships is extended by five weeks as well as two international matches in November (details pending)
  • New Zealand has released the Farah Palmer Cup draw and it includes 13 teams with Northland joining
  • Babalwa Latsha of South Africa speaks of her journey to possibly playing professional rugby in Europe
  • Helen Nelson of Scotland chats with GH Media about a busy 2019
