2019-2020 D1, D2 & D3 USA Rugby Women’s Club Standings

UPDATE April 2020: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, most competitions have cancelled their 2019-2020 seasons.

The 2019-2020 USA Rugby D1, D2 & D3 seasons are beginning around the country and we have the CMS standings and schedules so far.

D1 has undergone another major change, moving from eight geographic unions to four. The goal of this shift is two fold, first to make the jump to the WPL not seem so large.

Teams that only play within their region may not be fiscally nor be physically prepared for the travel required to be in the WPL. Secondly it brings better competition to the table for areas that are geographically diverse. With this reorganization, the Gold Cup has disbanded.

D1 Playoffs and Championships are still being determined at the USA Rugby National Competitions level.

D2 remains mostly the same as last year with a few teams moving down and some moving up to D1. Playoffs will be in the East and West with the final two teams meeting at USA Rugby Club Championships.

For the first time, we’ll be adding in details about D3 competitions. There aren’t many right now but it shows the growth of women’s rugby across the US! These will have local only Championships in their geographic union.

2018-2019 Results

Last year in D1, the NOVA defeated the Austin Valkyries in a close knit affair.

Last year in D2, Sacramento defeated Harrisburg in a high scoring affair.

  1. What you labeled as ‘Empire D1’ is actually Empire D2. And what you labeled as ‘New England D1’ is actually known as Eastern D1.
