2019 WPL Championships – Nov 1-3

The 2019 Women’s Premier League Championship will kick off this weekend in Denver, CO on the Infinity Park Turf Fields. San Diego was the winner last year but won’t return to the top tier this year and so there will be a new champion crowned on Sunday.

In the top tier, Life West faces New York in the first semi-final of the weekend and will be followed by Atlanta vs Glendale in the second semi-final. Winners move on the to the WPL Championship while losers will go into the 3rd/4th match.

The bottom tier teams are either in the 5th place semi-final or the 5th place play-in matches. Beantown and Berkeley finished third in their respective conferences this season and will play in the 5th-place semifinal. The winner advances to the 5th-place match Sunday and the loser heads to the 7th-place match.

Twin Cities, ORSU, San Diego and Chicago North Shore are in the 5th place play-ins where the winner with the larger point differential advances to face the winner of the 5th place play-in. The winning team with the smaller point differential moves onto the 7th place match. Finally, the two losers will play in the 9th place match and will be vulnerable to challenge matches from DI teams.
