2021 Rugby World Cup – Schedule, How to Watch & Results

It’s here! The 2021 Rugby World Cup was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic but teams are finally in New Zealand.

Hosts New Zealand head into the tournament as defending champions and on a high, having beaten every team they warmed up against this year.

RWC 2017 runners-up England have also beaten everyone in their warmup matches and their latest defeat of Wales was a record breaking 25th consecutive test victory.

The tournament begins at the iconic Eden Park in Auckland on October 8, when South Africa take on France in Pool C. Following that match, England face Fiji before cross-Tasman rivals New Zealand and Australia face off.

Day two sees the action switch to the Northland Events Centre  where the Whangarei stadium will host nine matches during the pool stage and the first two quarter-finals on October 29.

Six pool stage matches will be played at Waitakere Stadium in Auckland, which will also stage the second two quarter-finals on October 30. Whoever finishes first and second in each pool will qualify for the quarter-finals, along with the two best third-placed teams.

Both semi-finals on November 5 and the bronze final and final a week later will all be played at Eden Park.
