2023 USA Women’s Premier League (WPL) – Schedule & Results

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) has released their 2023 schedule and participating teams! We’ve done a deep dive into all the changes, view that article here.

In years past the league had up to ten teams and this year there will be seven: Beantown, Berkeley All Blues, Chicago NS, Colorado Gray Wolves, Life West, New York, and the Twin Cities Amazons. 

Matches begin April 15 and teams will play home and away until June 25. The league then takes a break so players can pursue other developmental opportunities (like Club 7s, Premier Rugby 7s, High Performance Camps or International assemblies). Play resumes August 12 and the regular season completes on September 24. The postseason will see the top-four teams meet at the semifinals on October 7 and winners will face off at the WPL Championship on October 14.

As foreshadowed in last year’s Ignite the Change campaign, these changes support the WPL moving towards professionalization.

In 2022 the Berkeley All Blues defeated Beantown for their third WPL Championship. Can they defend the Cup?
