The WXV will pave the way to the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, with the top five non-qualified teams at the end of WXV 2024 earning a spot in the tournament.
The action starts on May 22nd with hosts Hong Kong China taking on reigning champions Japan at Kings Park Stadium. Japan faces Kazakhstan on May 27th, also at Kings Park. The final match on June 1st is a double-header at the Hong Kong Football Club, featuring Hong Kong China vs. Kazakhstan at 18:30, followed by the Asia Rugby Men’s Championship with Hong Kong China Men vs. newly promoted UAE.

This year promises high stakes and thrilling competition, as teams vie not only for the championship but also for critical World Cup and WXV spots.
“Asia Rugby is thrilled to witness the culmination of talent and dedication as three formidable teams compete for the title of Champions of Asia,” said Qais Al Dhalai, President of Asia Rugby. “With the added incentive of a direct spot in the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 and WXV 2 & 3 qualification, the stakes are higher than ever.
