Denver Black Ice’s mission is to provide an inclusive learning environment for athletes of all abilities to engage and train in the sport of rugby. We aim to embody the best spirits and traditions of the game, offering all members of Black Ice an environment of camaraderie, competition, and athletic fulfillment. Denver Black Ice Rugby was founded in 1991. We have had a competitive Women’s Division 1 team for over thirty years. In 2022, we supported the re-creation of a Women’s Division 2 league in the Rocky Mountain Rugby Union, and have had a competitive Division 2 team since. With increased playing opportunities and a culture of rugby for all, we had one hundred registered members in the 2024-2025 registration cycle.
