2025 USA Club 7s Rugby National Championships: Schedule, Viewing Options, and Results (Aug 9-10)

The 2025 USA Club 7s National Championship returns this weekend, August 9–10, to the Madison United & Wisconsin Rugby Complex in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin. Sixteen women’s teams will battle it out over two days of pool and knockout play to crown this year’s national champion.

Scion Sirens headline the competition once again. The Mid-Atlantic juggernaut is back to defend its 2024 title, having claimed three championships in the last four years. Washington Athletic Club (WAC), a consistent podium finisher with top-three results in 2022, 2023, and 2024, also returns and enters the weekend as a serious threat. The Chicago Lions, champions in 2023 and runners-up in 2024, are back and looking to reclaim their spot at the top.

Life West makes a long-awaited return to Nationals. After placing second in 2021 and fifth in 2022, the NorCal side traveled throughout the summer to secure an at-large bid, including a dominant win at Portland 7s over Santa Rosa. Their road back included matches across Oregon and Washington, and a convincing 42–12 win in the final in their last qualifier helped punch their ticket to Wisconsin.

The San Diego Surfers, third-place finishers in 2022 and perennial contenders, also return as the Pacific South’s automatic qualifier. Chicago North Shore, the current Midwest champion, is in the field as well and will be joined by their in-region rivals, the Chicago Lions, who earned an at-large bid.

Newer faces include Phoenixville White Horse and Phoenix (Florida), both of whom had strong Mid-Atlantic and South showings and earned at-large invitations. Boston returns as the Northeast’s automatic qualifier after an undefeated run through Saratoga. Atlanta 2.0 Selects will also represent the South as an at-large team after a deep run in Hotlanta 7s.

This year’s pools feature a strong mix of returning powerhouses and rising teams from across the eight USA Club Rugby regions. Every squad will play three pool matches on Saturday before advancing into Cup and Bowl brackets on Sunday. All teams will play through to a final ranking from 1st to 16th.
