WANTED: Harvard Assistant Coach – Women’s Rugby

Duties & Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Head Coach, you will help run the inter-collegiate Women’s Rugby program at Harvard.  You will:

• Help instruct and develop student athletes;
• Assist in making strategic decisions in contest situations;
• Assist in developing and implementing the overall recruiting strategy;
• Handle administrative responsibilities associated with the program operations, including recruiting logistics and planning, team travel details, and equipment ordering.
• Assist in fundraising efforts and running special events.

Required Education, Experience, Skills

Ideally, you have:

• A Bachelor’s degree;
• At least 2 years’ experience coaching or playing collegiate rugby;
• Outstanding technical, tactical and strategic knowledge of rugby;
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with a variety of people;
• Strong skills with Microsoft Word and Excel;
• Basic video filming, editing and analytical ability; and
• A demonstrated passion for collegiate athletics.
