West U23 All-Star 15s Team Announced

Dear Club Representatives:

The West U23 All-Stars will be competing at the ITT tournament in Pittsburgh, PA this summer. We have just selected the team of very talented young players who are very excited about representing the West. On behalf of the U23 players, I am writing to request the support of your women’s club.

From June 9th through June 15th, 28 of the best U23 players from around the West will represent all West women’s rugby while training and competing to win a spot back in the top tier. Imagine the benefits this high level rugby experience will bring to these players and to the clubs they play for when they get home. While select side play is extremely beneficial, it is also extremely expensive as many of you already know.

We are asking the West Women’s clubs to please consider making a contribution to help defray the week long costs by sponsoring a TEAM MEAL. By sponsoring a meal, at the cost of $300 per meal, you will be making a great contribution to the players – and possibly to your club as well! We need to encourage these young players, so that they continue on after college and play for a women’s club just like yours!

Any team sponsoring a meal will receive the following:
• Team recognition during the meal.
• Recruiting opportunity by providing flyers, business cards or other materials to be distributed directly to the players.
• Additionally, short speeches, well wishes, or other messages will be read to players during your sponsored meal on your behalf.
• If a representative from your team is traveling to Pittsburgh, they may come and speak to the players personally and distribute recruiting materials.

Sponsorship commitments and electronic flyers/recruiting materials/other messages need to be sent electronically or by mail between now and May 30, 2008.
