WANTED: Detroit Women’s Rugby Football Club Seeks Coaching Staff!

The Detroit Women’s Rugby Football Club (DWRFC) is seeking applications for Coaching Staff for their 15’s program for both Spring and Fall Seasons; both Head Coach and Assistant Coach Positions are currently needed. Ideal candidates must have previous experience; at minimum, previous collegiate or club level coaching in either men’s or women’s programs. Candidates for both positions must have the ability to commit to attending weekly practices and games. Coaching Staff would be responsible for designing and executing weekly practices as well as developing players’ skills and team tactics.

The Detroit Women’s Rugby Club was established in 1999 and won the Division II title as National Champions in 2003, 2004, 2007, came in runner‐up in 2005 and 2008. After being successful competing in Division II, as of Fall 2009, the DWRFC moved up to and continues to contend at the Division I level. Practice is held at our home pitch located right off of 8‐mile on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The DWRFC is comprised of rugby players of all levels that enjoy being challenged and want to continue to work hard towards attaining the same success in Division I as seen in Division II in years past.
