Location: Blackheath, Eltham
Hours: Part Time
Responsible for:
Coaching the Blackheath Women’s section (1st and 2nd Teams). This will consist of the planning and delivery of coaching sessions as well as coaching and facilitating team preparation on match days.
Blackheath: Blackheath is the oldest open rugby club in the world. Our Women’s 1st team plays in Championship South East 2, and finished 3rd in the league last season. This year we are looking to improve on last years league position and develop a 2nd team which will fulfill a number of friendly fixtures.
Main Duties:
- Coach the 1st and 2nd team players on Tuesday and Thursday evenings
- Facilitate team preparation on match days (Sundays)
- Attend training and match fixtures throughout the season
- Attend coaching meetings
- Lead delivery of training sessions
- Provide player feedback to squad players
- Liaise and work with the other club coaches
Skills and Experience:
- Level 2 (at minimum) or 3 Coaching Award with a proven coaching background
- Good written and communication skills
- Leadership and delegation skills
- Planning skills
- A good knowledge and understanding of Rugby Union
- British passport or Work Permit required.
