WANTED: Merrimack College Women’s Rugby Club Head Coach

Merrimack College Women’s Rugby Club is currently seeking a new head coach for the Fall 2010 season. We are looking for a coach who has previous club or collegiate coaching experience. Our ideal coach would be someone who can fine tune the skills of players that are already there, teach in an organized manner, as well as retain new players. We are also looking for a coach who can commit to 3 practices a week as well as all games (*current fall games are scheduled on Sundays). We would expect our coach to commit to and share our team’s goals as well as follow our school’s policies.

Merrimack Women’s Rugby Club is a D4 club out of North Andover, MA. Practices and home games would be held on campus and transportation to away games would be provided. Fall 2009 season was our first competitive season and the club did very well. We had a team of 23 brand new players, and with the help of great coaching we were brought to semi-finals for the Fall 2009 season. A stipend would be paid upon conclusion of the season.
