Three tries from the Women’s Rugby World Cup have been nominated by the IRB and the International Rugby Players Association for the Try of the Year 2010 Award. Stand-out tries from England’s Danielle Waterman, Australia’s Cobie-Jane Morgan and New Zealand’s Huriana Manuel are in the mix along with 15 other top international scores.
Waterman’s try was in the pool game agains the USA, Morgan’s in the pool game against Australia and Manuel’s also came in the early stages – in her side’s victory over Australia.

3) Huriana Manuel V Australia
You can online for your favourite try from the shortlist of 18 from the RBS Six Nations, Tri Nations, Women’s Rugby World Cup, IRB Pacific Nations Cup, IRB Nations Cup and the June and November internationals.

The IRPA Try of the Year is a hugely anticipated Award. Last year’s competition, which saw a try scored by South Africa’s Jaque Fourie win the Award, attracted over 10,500 votes with the social media community spreading the word,” said IRB Chairman Bernard Lapasset.
“This year fans have an opportunity to vote for tries scored by players representing seven nations and I am sure the competition will be close.”
The online poll will close on Monday, January 17, 2011 and the winner will be announced later that month.
