WANTED: Head Coach for Bentley Women’s Rugby (D3 Collegiate)

The Bentley Women’s Rugby team is currently searching for a new head coach to start in the fall 2011 season. Our team was started at Bentley University in 2001. In the past we have competed in the NERFU Division III league, but starting in the fall we are moving to the NE10 Division II league. We are a very competitive, hardworking, and motivated team. Last fall, this work paid off when we won the Division III National Championship.

What we are looking for is a coach who is motivating, responsible, and will be a positive contribution to the growth of this program. We are looking for someone who has prior experience either playing and or coaching rugby. Our assistant coach, who works mainly with our backs, is very willing to return as assistant coach; so we would really benefit from a coach who has experience working with forwards.

This is a paid position that will require a time commitment of two hour practices Tuesday and Thursdays each week in addition to games every weekend. As a coach you will be expected to attend all practices and games as well as run drills at these practices and create line ups for each game. Our team is made up of both experienced and inexperienced players, and we plan to have both A and B side games every weekend (provided the other team has enough players). The fall season will run from early September until, late November (depending on playoffs), and the Spring season will run from Mid-March until early May.

If you are interested in the position please send your resume to Molly Haswell at haswell_moll@bentley.edu.
