707pm: In a mind blowing opening Nations Cup match, England holds on for the win over USA 15-11. Amazing match.

706pm: : England scored at the last minute…and takes the W. England 15 USA 11

702pm: Feed is down so we have no idea if England scored!

659pm: England lineout, #13 for England breaks through the line but it brought down short. Waterman breaks through but held back. USA defense is AMAZING!

658pm: Dropout was charged down by USA but USA is able to get it and get it into touch.

657pm: Kick had the distance but was wide! USA 22m dropout. Kill time ladies!

656pm: England will attempt a shot at goal, they are on the 22m in the corner.

656pm: Penalty to England, inside USA 22m. USA not releasing.

655pm: England is playing with frenzy now but USA is matching them in defense.

653pm: Feed back but not sure if/who got carded for USA. From the ref’s body language I believe someone got carded.

650pm: About 5 mins left, penalty against USA and ref will have a chat with USA captain.

649pm: England is keeping the ball with their forwards and pounding it. They finally go to their backs but a mishandle and USA grabs the ball. Scrum to England.

648pm: Deep lineout by England but good defense by #13 Amy Daniels of USA.

647pm: Penalty to England, USA high tackle. Quick tap but stopped again due to another penalty.

646pm: Feed was down for a bit, we came up and USA just slotted a PK. USA 11 England 10

641pm: England has numbers but they kick over the top and 22m dropout to USA.

640pm: Feed backup, looks like they were looking at #7 Kuglar for USA. She is so prone to facial injuries!

636pm:  Feed has gone down…will try to update as we can.

632pm: Penalty to England off the scrum…not sure what it was for. England chooses scrum.

631pm: Sub for USA, #16 Devin Keller coming in for #2 Cheekes. England also subbed a few.

629pm: After that score England took a few minutes behind the line to compose themselves.

627pm: England attempted to clear but Vix #11 gathers it in and blazes past the defense to score in the corner. USA 8 England 5

626pm:  Another penalty against England for not rolling away. 3 in a row!

626pm: Another penalty to USA, England not rolling away. #10 Anderson kicks for touch.

626pm: Penalty to USA, England hands in. England chatting back so they go back another 10m. Quick tap by USA.

623pm: England will kick off to USA. Doesn’t appear that there were any subs.

553pm: BIG tackle by #13 Amy Daniels and stops an England counterattack. Penalty to England, USA not releasing.

552pm: Penalty to England, USA not rolling away. They will kick for touch. England 0 USA 0

551pm: USA under pressure but handling it well. They clear and its a lineout at the 50m to USA.

548pm: USA escapes a penalty inside their 5m as #15 seals the ball. No call by the ref though…into touch.

547pm: England has been a bit stifled by the USA defense but most of the play has been in USA’s half.

542pm: Penalty kick was missed, 22m drop for USA.

541pm: Penalty to England, they will go for points.

538pm: Young but not inexperienced Pankey and Anderson for the USA are doing very well. USA continues to be strong in defense.

536pm: #10 USA Sadie Anderson has a HUGE kick but it goes over the dead ball line. Scrum from the kick to England.

535pm: Penalty to England, USA in from the side. They will clear and have a lineout on the 40m.

534pm: USA is not committing very many to the breakdown and they have plenty out on defense.

  1. Conclusions? USA need to learn how to run a clock down. England need to develop a Plan B when the usual tactics fail. USA coach and team did their homework. England didn’t.
