Luke Gross earned 62 caps for the USA between 1996 and 2003.  Luke started his rugby career far later than most international players, not taking up the sport seriously until age 24, after he had played basketball at Marshall University. He began his rugby career with the Cincinnati Wolfhounds and has played professional rugby in England, Italy and Wales.  He is now the USA Rugby Lineout Specialist and the forwards coach for the USA Women’s National Team.

Kicking Clinic

Damien Hill is currently the kicking coach for the Brumbies (Super 15) and the West Tigers and Newcastle Knights teams (Australian National Rugby League) as well as working as the kicking coach at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) and as a kicking specialist for the Tongan Rugby Union.   Damien has visited the United States on several occasions working with the kickers of programs such as Penn State University, Life University, Stanford University and the University of Santa Barbara.

Damien will be working on kicking in general play and tactical kicking selection during the clinic.  Damien will also be available from Thursday 20 October to Saturday 22 October to work with individual clubs and players.

Damien offers technical correction and adjustment for all aspects of kicking including kick offs, kicking in general play, tactical kicking selection and goal kicking.  In addition, he works with kickers one on one filming and providing video analysis and feedback as well as providing kickers with drills and training techniques that they can work on their own.  If you would like to set up a session with Damien, please contact Peter Baggetta at pbaggetta@gmail.com.The Rugby Academy is an independent rugby development program for high school rugby players in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area.  The goal of the Rugby Academy is to prepare high school players to go on to play rugby in college.  The Rugby Academy is now starting its fourth year.  If you would like to support the Rugby Academy or want more information about the Rugby Academy contact Kurt Mockenhaupt at rugbyfoundation@msn.com.
