Serevi Rugbytown Training Camp – Aug 9-10, 2012

SEREVI™ is holding it first programming in Colorado! Come one, come all to the Serevi Rugbytown USA Training Camp in Glendale, CO at Infinity Park. The camp will run over two days August 9-10 from 9am – 3pm. The King of 7s™ Waisale Serevi will be there as well as some special guest coaches including Ben Golling (IRB 7s All-time point scorer) and Santiago Gomez Cora (IRB 7s All-time try scorer), not to mention former and current US Eagles Mike Mangan, Emilie Bydwell and Hannah Stolba.

This camp has been designed for all male and female players, ages U12-College, beginners and skilled players alike; players will be segmented by age and experience, so there is a place for everyone.

We at Serevi™ have spent the last two years perfecting our Training Camp model. We’ve amassed a massive drill library, downloading techniques from our Australian, Fijian and South African coaches. From that library, we have constructed a progression-based drill set that begins with basics and layers complexity at a reasonable pace.

Waisale Serevi – the man – made a brilliant, 21-year international career of making the very difficult look effortless and you have the chance to learn directly from the legend himself. Waisale won two Rugby Sevens World Cup Championships as a player and coach and is the IRB 7s fourth all-time point scorer.

The Training Camp will focus primarily on:

  • Core skills
  • Operating in space
  • Decision making

Within that framework, our team has established a common language around the game. We strip away complexity to explain basic skills and HOW they apply in game scenarios. We’ll pay attention to details and train with intensity. Your game will evolve tremendously. Plus it’s loads of FUN!

This programming has garnered rave reviews in Utah, Minnesota, Chicago, San Diego, Seattle and Bermuda. Come see for yourself. Check out pictures from these camps at our Facebook page.
