Penn State has has a good year so far, capturing the USA Rugby Collegiate 15s title and now the CRC 7s title. On their way to beating Ohio State 31-5 in the title match they hardly missed a step. In Pool Play they dominated Georgia Tech, Temple & Drexel, all with shutouts. On day two in the Semis they faced Texas who missed out on the Championship by one point. Texas held Penn State to the closest margin, Penn State 17 Texas 5.

The final was close at half time (17-5) but Penn State pulled away in the second half. Penn State was not perfect and at moments bobbled the ball or made questionable decisions but OSU was not able to capitalize.

Stand out players for Penn State were 7s Eagle Meya Bizer & Bianca Dalal. The standout player for OSUwas Akua Adu-Gyamfi who claimed the sole try for OSU.
