Following a weekend of play-in matches, the playoff field for the 2016 USA Rugby Women’s Division I & DII Fall Championship is set. Teams The Nov. 19-20 weekend’s Quarterfinals and Semifinals will determine who ends up at the Championships Dec 3-4 at Furman University in Greenville, S.C.
In D1, there are eight teams vying for the semifinals. Texas A&M will face Air Force, Rutgers sees Minnesota, Notre Dame plays Connecticut, and Northern Iowa takes on Boston College. Connecticut is the defending Fall Champion.
In DII, it’s a round of 16 featuring Cincinnati and Davenport, Illinois State and West Virginia, Vassar and Vermont, Albany and Buffalo State, Bloomsburg and Coast Guard, Eastern Kentucky and St. Michael’s, Winona vs BYE (Marquette forfeit) and Montana St and UW La Crosse. Davenport is the defending Fall Champion.
Broadcast
Semifinals and the Final will be broadcast free of charge on The Rugby Channel.
