Women’s Rugby News for Jun 19-25

Welcome to the top women’s rugby news in under 60 seconds for June 19-25. Great Britain is on the path to victory at the European Games which would secure automatic qualification to the Olympics. Meanwhile, Gloucester-Hartpury clinched their first Allianz Premier Championship title with an impressive win over Exeter.

In more 7s news, Czechia pulled off an upset victory over Spain in the quarterfinals of the European Games and advanced to face Poland in the semifinals. Belgium, on the other hand, will have a challenging match against the formidable GB team. The teams securing second and third place in the tournament will move on to the Final Qualification Tournament in June 2024. At PR 7s, the Loonies fought back against newcomers Retrievers to claim victory in the Western Conference Kickoff.

Despite widespread criticism, World Rugby has announced that WXV 3 will take place in Dubai on October 14, 21, and 28.
