USA U23's Lose Last Match of Tour

Auckland, NZ, August 5, 2007 – In a very competitive and physical match, the USA U23 women were defeated by the Manuwera women’s senior club side on the final game of their New Zealand tour Saturday morning local time in the New Zealand capital.

The U23s scored two tries on the day, with star center Kelly Griffin touching down 15 minutes in, and Kirsten Ahrendt kicking the extras.

Just before halftime the Americans scored again, with flanker Shaina Turley finishing off the movement. But 12 points would be all they could muster as the U23 Eagles were beaten 22-12.
