U-20 Women’s National Team Elite Camp

A majority of the players were selected either based on their participation at several regional camps throughout 2007 or through recommendations from their coaches, although 12 athletes were chosen based on their performance at the 2007 U-19 Invitational National All-Star Championship this past November. The 51 players represent 40 rugby programs throughout 19 states.

As the program moves to U20, it becomes more college-centric. But Chivers said he does not want high school coaches to think their players don’t have a shot. He points to the fact that 15 players are still in high school, and a large number now in college or clubs were first identified while in high school

  1. Whitney Wayland from the University of Oklahoma Roses is selected in the backs. She somehow has missed the list, and yet she is at the camp at this very moment.

  2. Whitney Wayland from The University of Oklahoma is also at the camp as a back. She somehow missed this list, but is competing down there at this very moment. I am incredibly jealous and I bet you are too!
