In a rather abrupt and exciting move this year, USA Rugby decided to go ahead and pick up the Women’s D2 Championship for 2010. Most of us thought they weren’t picking it up until 2011…but yea for 2010! That being said there are few details and lots of confusion out there. I have several emails out confirming seedings, match days etc. We do know that the D2 Championships will be played alongside the Women’s Premier and Club D1 on Nov 11-13 in Mesa, AZ.
I will post more info as I get it, but here is what I have gathered:

Pittsburgh won the Midwest with a 49-0 win over Milwaukee in the championship
Scioto Valley beat Palmer 73-0 to claim third place

MARFU #2 seed should actually go in as a #6, they ranked all of the TU’s from last years tourney in order of finish is last years tourney, with the 2 new TU’s that did not participate last year taking the #7 and #8 seeds this year. Next years seeding will be based on finishes in this years tourney.
