Boathouse Sports Introduces New Line of Women’s Rugby Gear Designed by Women for Women

Philadelphia, PA — August 16, 2011 — Boathouse Sports, the leader in custom sublimated team uniforms, today introduced its new line of performance rugby gear specifically designed for female rugby players. Developed in collaboration with the women’s rugby teams at Princeton University and West Chester University, it’s the first line of rugby gear designed with the specific fit and performance requirements of female athletes.

Boathouse’s fully sublimated Spin and Full Contact jerseys (available in XS through 3XL) are designed to fit the female shape for a close-to-the-body compression fit, making it harder for a player to be tackled. Designers also incorporated the perfect amount of ease across the chest and hips for a more comfortable and flattering fit, a shorter sleeve length and a longer body length that will stay tucked into shorts. Boathouse’s solid Titan short and fully sublimated Astro short are now available in a shorter, complimentary 4” inseam and incorporate a soft mesh chafe guard for added comfort.

Boathouse’s proprietary sublimation process directly infuses color dyes into the fabric of uniforms to eliminate cracking, peeling and fading of graphics, while also preserving all of the performance characteristics of the material including the minimizing of weight, moisture wicking and allowing for almost unlimited customization.
